Nada Babiker Ali Al Khair Member of the Children’s Parliament and Head of the Education Committee of the National Child Parliament

Education: In the third class of secondary school,
The Children’s Parliament Sudan is a national body concerned with solving children’s issues, advocating prevention of violations and submitting them to the competent authorities. There is also a parliamentary body in each state of Sudan that resolves children’s issues and is included in the national parliament.

Nada Babiker associated in child parliament

on 17/ 12/2018 After the 2016 parliamentary session.

By being a member of child parliament she cultivated her communication skills, which help her connect with 104 children from different states and age groups across Sudan. Gained insights into diverse cultures which broadened her understanding of Sudanese cultures.. Developed leadership and teamwork abilities and improved my experience in volunteer work. broadened my understanding of Sudanese cultures.

 

Her experience in advocating for children’s rights in the neighbourhood through raising awareness of the rights of children and the family, especially in the right to health care.

A Word of Appreciation for Child Parliament

I thank Parliament very much because it helped me in strengthening my personal skills, communicating with others, increasing my self-confidence, teaching me about rights, and how to advocate for my rights.
A message from a member of the Sudanese Child Parliament, Nada Babiker, to the children of Sudan:
“Try to know all your rights and defend them and do not allow anyone to violate them, because knowledge of rights is the basis for advancing childhood issues.”

Her experience in advocating for children’s rights in the neighbourhood through raising awareness of the rights of children and the family, especially in the right to health care in the policies of free treatment for children under five years old she enlighten the families that medical treatment for children below five years of age is free of charge starting from medical examination until taking medication and in all government health centres.
